Thank you for your unbiased comment.  It's very much appreciated.

I've planted the Hybrid Poplar to the west, which is supposed to grow 12
to 20 feet per year.  I planted it last year, and it is now about 8 feet
tall.  We water it daily.  Alternate trees are Leylandii Cypress, which
are slower growing, but evergreen.  I figure in 10-15 years, I'll have
the poplars cut down and the cypress should be able to hold the wind at
bay.
I know that it can be awful sometimes.  But hey, this way you get to see
firsthand how the plants hold up to adverse conditions!  The wind has
been blowing daily for the past 4 days.  Mornings are calm, but even
now, I notice it's picking up, at 9:30.

Thanks for stopping! (would you say we're 'overstocked'?  I can't seem
to stop myself...)
