They used to all be called Datura, but are now divided into Datura and
Brugmansia.
Brugmansia: Tree-like, with downward facing/hanging flowers. Most common
genera grown are B. arborea, B. versicolor, and a few others.
Datura: Bush like, with outward facing flowers. Most commonly grown are
D. meteloides (usually white flowers and fuzzy leaves), D. metel (white,
purple or yellow, sometimes double and smooth leaves) and D.stramonium (
the generally weedy jimson weed).
