Val,
I have successfully overwintered Helichrysum petiolatum (which is what I
think you've got) for several years in my pseudo greenhouse - a plastic A
frame tacked over a garage door. This gets down to about 40F; morning sun.
The key is cool temperatures, good humidity and as much light as you can
give it. My only problem with this plant is some dratted leaf minor that
attacks it where ever I grow it. These are tender perennials. Water so it
doesn't get dried out (they don't like that), but you don't want it soggy.
If you have a cool room with good light or supplemental fluorescent
fixtures and can keep the air humidity up, it should come through fine - by
cool, I mean a room that doesn't get much warmer than 60F.
If the plant is overgrown, give it a hair cut before bringing it inside,
but leave some leaf mass.
