I have blackberry lilies in my garden and have grown them for many
years. They prefer poor soil, I guess, as that is what they grow best in
here. They also don't like to be watered too much as it causes them to rot,
(kind of like iris). Mine grow and flourish with little or no care. Some in
full sun, some in part shade. The part shade ones look better but they tend
to get kind of leggy. Hope you get your problem solved. They are quite
beautiful in bloom and I like the black seed pods, too.
