I have not grown tropical hibiscus, but I hear lots of questions about
them on the local radio gardening show. The horticulturist suggests:
1. Bring it indoors before it gets too cool outside, so there's not so
much temperature difference.
2. Don't cut it back until spring. She says that there will probably
be some die-back during the winter due to low light levels, and if you
cut it back much when you bring it in, you will just end up with even
less foliage by spring.
