Hi Margaret and all, I think the heat zones are an idea whose time has
come. I'm sure they are most valuable where spring/summer/autumns can be
long and hot. Since 90% of what I sell has been propagated from my own tried
and true garden stock, I feel pretty confident about the performance (in my
climate) of those 350+ perennials. However, I don't have the same first
hand information about some of the newer tissue culture hybrids that have
hit the market in recent years and will have to rely on "the zones" for that
information.
