I think this is simply par for the course for a very variegated plant.
Most really variegated varieties aren't as robust as the unvariegated ones.
I've got this one in one of my huge planters - gets a couple hours late
morning sun but is shaded by taller plants (Bletilla striata) somewhat. It
has started growing, but not with the same vigor as 'Blackie', who wants to
take over the world...
I also bet this one does not really want full sun or hot afternoon
sun...many plants with a lot of white in their leaves don't like hot sun.
Can you shift those pots to east?
