Corkscrew Willow

Hi all-
My neighbor was kind enough to give me a corkscrew willow yesterday - nice
size, about 5' tall in a 2 gal pot. She rooted it in the pot it is in. Does
anyone know how this plant will do in a container? My husband has scared me
off of putting this one in the ground because of the aggressive root system.
And does anyone know how this plant/tree takes to heavy pruning to maintain a
pot size?
Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated.
P.S. Does the corkscrew work as well as a "normal" willow for rooting
cuttings?
Happy gardening
