I was given Kaffir Lilies as schizostylis from a friend's garden here in
Wales - they are autumn-flowering and frost-hardy - flowers are crocus-like,
delicate, on 2ft slender stems, glowing away when the annuals have been
zapped. Need lots of rain in summer, which is no problem in Wales. Clivia
here are for indoors. Wouldn't stand temperatures below freezing, and
flowers are trumpet-shaped, exotic. Seeds pricey. They also are known here
as Kaffir Lilies, and that's confusing, for they're quite different from
