Seriously now.....Cirus or Sirus?

Five years ago I worked for a large grower and when I passed the propagation houses a person there said "hey Dee! you grow stuff...root this."  Well I was handed a small chunk of leaf from what they said was a "Night blooming Sirus".  It grew into a plant that looks like most Orchid cactus, but w/o spines......this week it bloomed a beautiful white blossom.....started in the early evening, went all night, smelled pleasant and closed in the morning and never reopened. the blossom was about 10" across.
Anyone with knowledge of this plant out there? How often does it bloom? What conditions does it like etc.   Is this the real name?
