Donna, daylilies are awfully tough. You could pot them up, or you could
wwrap them in some sphagnum moss and keep moise, heel them in somewhere, or
whatever. Do you have a compost pile or pile of mulch, topsoil, or peat
somewhere that you could heel them in?
Just do something so those roots are not exposed to sun and air--you want to
keep them from getting too dried out.
