I did this a little over a year ago.  My recommendation would be to put
your wishes into the seller's agreement in such terms as *seller
reserves the right to divide perennials at his/her discretion* or
something like that.  I did it and the buyers were glad I wouldn't take
ALL of something leaving a big hole.  I found that my kid's sleds made
great *trays* for all the pots that I potted and needed to move
regularly to get to boxes, whilst unpacking.  Good luck
