Has anyone received a catalog or done business with Seymour's Selected Seeds?
They seem to have an interesting selection of seed available, but
they come up a bit short on other information. Sometimes only a
genus name, and a few with only the common name. NO climatic zone
information at all. Plants like Meconopsis betonicifolia are simply
described as hardy perennial and "self-seeds quite easily" (not in my
garden!).
Their background seems a bit fuzzy, too. They profess to be English,
but are headquartered in Sussex, VA. The catalog was mailed through
a catalog fulfillment center in Randolph, WI. Reference is also
made to "Seeds for the World, Inc."
All that was missing was the contest. Am I being overly suspicious?
You don't suppose this is you-know-who (M.B.)?
