I have done little in my garden since November, as our cold (for the
coast) but sunny weather did its job on the perennials, and then the
rains came! Missed cutting the front lawn one last time, so the grass
is rather ragged - but I love to see the green, even if through rain!
The local ski slopes have had snow, and on the coast we had a few
centimetres, but it's all washed away now. Christmas lights look great
against the snow, but I'm happy to see them in the rain, too. In the
house the pointsettias and coloured lights brighten things up.
Lots of quilting and a little geanealogy research keep me out of
mischief until spring. I'll be spending Christmas in Victoria and am
looking forward to a visit to the Buchart Gardens - their light display
is spectacular.
Compliments of the season to everyone.
Betty (Delta, BC, zone 8, rain!)
