Al, That is interesting. Marathon definitely would not work for my big old
Brugs with trunks like broom handles. (They are blooming away in the GH as I
write) Have you had any experience with Neem being phytotoxic to anything
you have tried it on? Doggone its cold at your house!

Marathon works best on softer new growth. Older woodier stems does not seem
to translocate the insecticide as well as younger stems. I tried it on
poinsettias but it was not too effective on older plants.
Neem based pesticides seem to work well on mealy bugs, but they do not kill
the bugs right away, just disrupt their life cycle and prevent younger mealy
bugs from becoming adults,
