A small list of seeds that respond to presoaking would include: Iris, most
beans (Lupine, Baptisia, Cassia ect), I have had for the most part good
successes with those seeds that are encased in a Achene- Purple cones
flowers, Eryngium.
I have had no successes with Aquilegia.
For small seeds- I find it is best to surface sow them and cover with glass
or plastic.
I have a couple Items that are being stubborn and have not germinated yet.
Anemone magellanica
Anemonopsis macrophylla
Sistrinchium californicum
Prenanthes alba
Time will tell - Still about two months before any real serious seed starting
for me.
Hopefully spring will be early this year. Lots of snow this year-which is
always good for the plants.
