Try organizing a plant trek. We have been doing that from our area for a few
years now. You need a station wagon and boxes and shelves for the tailgate
section. You get a list of destinations and make a map. Everyone going must
be a plant nut and we don't get home until very late. We end by sorting the
plants in the dark in someone's driveway.
We now have a magazine that devotes itself to New England horticulture so
that is a good source here. From my location we can reach most parts of New
England in a daytrip, Maine excluded.
It is a lot of fun. Those that live near a good plant supplier are fortnate
indeed.
