I left my gardens behind over 4 years ago when I moved. I had it written into the seller's contract that I was allowed to take any plant that I chose, but if it left a hole, I would fill it with another plant. I had won a Mayor's Beautification award for that yard/garden and I was quite proud of it.
I took a little of most everything, and everything survived and eventually thrived, here at my new house.
I went by the old house less than a year later and EVERYTHING (INCLUDING SOME MATURE TREES) was plowed under and planted with grass. It was heartbreaking, but . . . . all those plants are here at my new house for me to enjoy - plus 4 years worth of new ones!
