I reluctantly have to agree with this assessment. We too have a loose stone,
very long and steep driveway. It is all kinds of gravel pounded in over the
years and added to as the snow plow sends it into the lawn. It is the most
productive seed bed. All kinds of things pop up unexpectedly in the gravel.
My husband is always out there hitting the plaintain with sodium glysophate
from a small machine that touches one plantain one at a time. I cannot be
bothered with this chore so probably lose a few treasures from time to time
but have come to regard the driveway as part of the garden. A Zauschneria
which has no business living in NY is growing well in my driveway.
