Cathy, that old saying is absolutely true...same thing happened to me
once and I swore I'd never go back to an old house again. You have
to take what you value with you because it's ten to one the new
owners won't care a fig for it and will just trash it for grass or
whatever they consider to be beautiful. People, it seems, feel the
need to place their mark on new property by wiping the slate clean.
This is not an age when people build on the old; it seems to be one
in which only the new has any value...pity.
Onward and Upward is the only direction:-)
