Thanks Claire- I hadn't heard of this one either ( my husband will just be
thrilled to know I want more plant stuff in the house!) He laughed
yesterday morning when I told him- "it's not raining- I'm going to rip
somemore of the front lawn out (to make a bed larger)". He also thinks I
have bought more "dirt" than any other person on earth.
Oh, well- at least he always comes to look at what I've done and declares
that it looks great!

For some time now gardeners have been able to subscribe to "Garden Design"
on
eBay for around 10.00 for three years. Once I checked this and it was
12.00.
Whatever the price of the day, that is a bargain to offset another magazine
at higher cost.
I wanted "Plants" another UK mag but would not go for the cost of that one
though they have a very good website with a database of most of new
perennials and other plants. Who has seen some copies of this one?
Garden Design has Ken Druse as the main hort. article writer at this time.
It seems to me he writes down to his audience in this magazine but it still
worth a read. This is the magazine with the garden quotes running down the
side of every page. What a job this is for some editor! Since the eBay
cost is so low, one can put up with some minor flaws.
