I should have voles because I have mole runs galore, especially after the
cicada invasion this year. However, I've never seen direct evidence of voles. And
I think what you call woodchucks we call groundhogs and I have at least one
family of those. They have chewed on echinaceas here, but I had Meadowbrite
fenced off, so that isn't the cause--the fencing was not disturbed.
I think we had an unusually wet period then some hard freezing. Anyway, I'm
going to try it again. The plant is so pretty it's worth it.
