Hi all.....a friend of mine, Mary Flock, owns a used and rare bookstore in
our small town and as I was browsing the gardening shelves yesterday I ran
across a book that some of you may be interested in. It is called *Old
Shrub Roses* by Graham Stuart Thomas. The copyright is 1955 and it was
published in London. She is selling it for $25.00. It has some beautiful
color plates as well as black and white photos. If anyone is interested
you can email her--<mflock@bellsouth.net>. I don't grow roses myself, but
I know alot of you do!
This warm weather 'down south' has my plants confused...one of the irises I
planted in August has a bud on it and some of the daffodils are starting to
come up. The monch aster is still blooming and my vinca is starting to
bloom as well. I don't know what this will mean for spring.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
