Re: Foxgloves

Val in KY
I have one foxglove Mertoniensis. I bought it at a nursery in another
town and the lady who was working that day didn't know what it was. The
first year the deer ate it to the ground and I didn't think it would live.
This last summer I transplanted it to another part of the garden and it
finally grew and bloomed. It is truly beautiful and the foliage is still
green and pretty. It has made another plant and as I understand it, it is
supposed to be divided every 3 - 4 years. I hope it continues to increase as
it has never died completely down and did come back from the root so here in
my zone 6, it is perennial. Jean Carpenter backhoe@scan.missouri.org
