Purple Sage

I bought 2 decorative purple sages in fall, put them in my greenhouse
and they appeared to dry up. The leaves were brittle. I moved them into
the house and now there is a lot of new growth that is green instead of
blue/purple. Has it reverted to a common sage? Will the leaves turn
purple later? Where can I get info on care of decorative sages. I live
in zone 6, western Colorado, clay soil, extreme temperatures and have
had more trouble with Icterina and purple sages than anything else.
