Ahh! You say you want blackberry bushes? Be careful what you wish for!
I'm still fighting the ONE bush that my grandmother planted. It persists
and is becoming impossible to control, even though the bush has long been
removed and the area sprayed with lots of chemicals. It's babies like to
come up in the MIDDLE of my perennial clumps. How does it know to do
this???
I don't know what variety you are looking for, but I hope for your sake
that it does not sucker. I'd get as many vouchers for this as I could.
You haven't known pain until those thorns wiggle through your leather
gloves to imbed in your fingers.
Have I said enough? I've put blackberry bushes right up there with yuccas.
Both are impossible to iradicate. They'll be here on earth with the rats
and roaches after a nuclear war.
