The Fairy is a polyantha rose, perhaps one of the best polyanthas. It
grows where I live (zone 5) to be about 2 1/2 feet tall and 3 -4 feet
wide. It bears a profusion a pink 1 inch blooms in clusters starting
around the end of June through the first light frosts-bloomed through
October this year. Actually, it does slack off in the hot summer months,
but is probably the most prolific blooming rose I have. The foliage is
very desease free-very few problems this summer when just about
everything else had black spot. And I rarely see a Japanese beetle on
it. I never have to cover it in the winter and it doesn;t need specail
treatment in terms of feeding and watering. It is a very low maintanance
rose and if you wanting to get started with a few roses, a good one to
get at first. I probably have 60 -70 different roses right now, AND i
have about 5 or 6 Fairys at various locations in the gardens.
