Well, Don, have never forced a lily, but checked my files and Linda Darnton
on Lily list posted this in response to a question re: the amount of
chilling time needed when trying to grow lilies in warm zones - may be
useful for you:
"Vernalization: Six to eight weeks of temperatures below 40F should be
sufficient (according to the B&D Planting Guide)"
As for time from breaking dormancy to flowering...haven't a real clue.
Would think it would depend a lot on available light as well as heat.
Think most plants forced for spring bloom are in greenhouses with precisely
controlled light and temps....but may be off base..
