Hello Claire,
A subject near and dear to me. I give a slide presentation and lecture on this
one..... Called "Gardening by Design & by Accident". I have attended a lot of
symposiums on gardening and I am always fascinated by all the charts, graphs and
illustrations on landscaping, soil mixes, fertilizing programs and nozzle rate,
etc.... Enough to make your eyes glaze over.I knew I was not that kind of gardener
and assumed if I felt like that so would other gardeners.... thus the
presentation.
Impulse buying is the name of the game for most of us. We get it, bring it
home and then try to work it in among our other impulses somewhere. I also talk
about learning to leave the garden alone to mature. Kind of a benign neglect
theory.....lot of sitting and watching.... my kind of gardening. Relax, enjoy and
keep a knowledgeable eye open for what is going on in the garden. Gene
