Re: Paper?

Since watching a tv programme about successfully using paper
in compost I've been putting small amounts of non glossy
paper on my compost heap since the summer. I haven't seen
the finished result yet, but it looks as though it's going
fine looking down on it from on top, plenty of worm activity
etc. One thing you have to be careful of though is putting
on too much paper all at once - it will go exactly like a
whole load of grass clippings, a disgusting, smelly mess.
You need to mix it up with other more coarser material such
as deadheadings etc. Fine in the summer but might be a bit
of a problem at this time of the year. I'm lucky because
every now and then I put in some of the straw from my
houserabbit's litter tray and that seems to help.
