Thanks for the info and survival technique Bob. I will drop Jo a line
in the next day or two. There have been a good number of folk
contact me about Hemerocallis and delphiniums (growing in
southern US states).
At this stage my interest in the Daylillies is pure curiosity. it struck
me as odd that hybrid seed is so expensive so I thought it would be
a good idea to try some, which I am. There are also plants
advertised for sale in NZ for much less than the price of hybrid seed
but these may turn out to be propagated from a plant that Aunt
Fanny grew from seed given to her by the grocer whos grandma
used to grow daylillies for a blind friend.
