Re: Foxglove


They grow all over New Zealand's South Island like weeds--well, they are
weeds there I guess. I was told it's like complimenting someone's dandelions
if you mention them.  So they must like cool,dampish weather.  I know some
people around here have them reseeding all over, but mine never reseed.  I
gave some "planted" plants to a friend down the street, and she gets
seedlings everywhere in her garden.  Go figure--but there must be something
I'm doing wrong.  I can get them to flower and some even last the second
year, but nary a seedling.   I do save the seed and plant out in my veggie
garden so the new plants are free--well, free dollarwise anyway.    Judy
