Barb:
I have grown Homestead Verbena is both situations successfully. I do find
that in full sun the verbena stops blooming during the hottest part of the
summer and becomes a bit domant (shabby) looking. I just trim back and by
the time the cooler nights come in the fall I have a profusion of blooms all
over again. There is another Verbena with the same habit as the Homestead
and it is called Apple Blossom....it is a pink with a bit of salmon, very
nice.
