re:hardy kiwi "Zespri"
Are any of you aware that the kiwi Fruit Marketing Authority of New
Zealand (or whatever it is called) has spent mega millions changing
the name of "Kiwi Fruit", which is what everyone now knows the
large, brown , fluffy, tasty pretty green inside fruit as, to "Zespri"
http://www.zespri.com/ which everyone, myself included, can't
remember? This is of course a modern marketing ploy devised by
highly educated marketing executives and is designed to lift the
profile of the Chinese Gooseberry to new heights. That's all very well
but how will it affect the poor gardener who has to tell his kiwi plants
that they have an identity crisis?
cheers
