The Pink Jasmine is a very fragrant early bloomer here in the south, I
believe it's botanical name is Jasminum polyanthum. The blooms are actually
white but the buds are pink. I have a pic of mine in bud at:

Here in Zone 9 it is an evergreen. I grow mine in a filtered sun location
during the summer and it receives full sun during the winter. Each year it
begins bud formation in February and will bloom for me through April if the
weather doesn't get to hot. The fragrance is so wonderful, almost
intoxicating. According to my A-Z Hort. Encyc. it is hardy in Zone
9-10....I'm not sure how it would do in a container.
