Re: Galega ???


Galega officinalis (the most commonly found species), a/k/a Goat's Rue.  A large, rangy herbaceous legume like Astragalus and Licorice.   Says here in "The Encyclopedia of Perennials" (Facts On File) that "Goat's Rue is intolerant of hot and humid climates."  I have mine behind the garage where it's protected from the hot afternoon sun (southeast Michigan in August pretty much defines "hot and
humid").  It only gets 3-4' tall but it seems happy enough.
