That's what I like about deer - they're so unpredictable. ;-) In our
nursery beds, they used to pass up all manner of other plants (we'd see the
tracks in the cultivated ground) to come up and munch on the geraniums -
yes G macrorrhizum - :-) too. They were a pita - even with two big dogs
roaming the place, we still see them within a few yards of the house. (Not
this winter, the snow is too deep at the moment for them to wander far from
their wintering yards) As soon as the snow starts to melt, they'll be all
over us looking for a bite to eat. I understand from my list that they are
a rather large problem in many parts of the continent this year for these
reasons.
