I would venture a guess that if sold at the Boston Flower Show they were
Primula malacoides. They can be grown from seed but are much easier
purchased in early spring and treated as an annual. They last many weeks
indoors in a cool room. We used to see them for sale occasionally with
Easter plants but not recently. I am looking forward to the New England show
where we might find some of these primroses.
