May not be fair - most of the activity listed in this magazine is in the
Washington DC/Virginia area. The cost is high for 6 thin magazines which
carry about one good article per mgazine. I would imagine Marge's article
was the lead on her issue as she writes very complete and high interest
material. Once I asked if they would give subscriptions to gardeners in
other parts of the country without the add-on costs of the gardens they keep
in Virginia. The answer was absolutely NO. So you pay for all kinds of
activities you have no ability to access.
Some societies do sell their journals apart from full memberships. Penns.
Hort. Soc. is one (Green Scene).
