the chemical binds to chlorine but does not eliminate it. When I need water for the fish tank- I just fill up a five gallon pale and let it stand for two days-this will eliminate most of the chlorine-it dissipates into the air.

This should work for your Orchids too-the drops will just end up adding chloride salts to you soils.
