Re: Gazing Balls?

I've had two gazing balls; the first one was stolen from my front yard, one
night when it was about 10 degrees outside. Never could figure out why
someone was out stealing things when it was that cold! Anyway, when I
replaced it, my husband made me promise to put it in the back. I have it in
a spot where it's safe from getting knocked over (in the midst of an azalea
bed). Last year, when we had the really bad ice storm, trees and branches
fell all around it, and in the middle of the destruction, there was my
gazing ball! I guess the garden gods must have protected it. Have had no
weather related problems (yet) and it's been in place for at least 5 years.
