Beth:
This plant was a pleasant surprise last year.
I planted it in late spring, Midwest clay only slightly amended,
afternoon sun. It bloomed and bloomed and bloomed.
I'd like to lay claim to careful siting but it was a fluke that I
planted it at the base of a clematis, name lost but maybe 'Niobe'. They
were nearly identical in coloring and smashing together. And for some
reason (probably all the spring rain) the clematis bloomed heavily for a
long time.
If you recall, last summer was very hot and very dry and the coreopsis
came through with very little watering.
I'm hoping it returns, that it didn't bloom itself to death!
