I believe you are correct there, often things don't work the way we have them
planed out- I have an advantage though-since I am not much of a gardener, I
just chalk failed expectations to the nature of my abusive relationship to
plants -- which is in the vein of the person living on welfare with 65 cats
in their 50 year old two room house. As such you can't expect things to be
neat and tidy all the time (if ever) and don't be surprised to come across a
funny scent or icky pile too.
What I find works for any plant is a large mass of the same thing-it just
works even weeds take on a sense of beauty when you have 25 or 50 of them
planted in a full crowd.
