Well, its the first week of...what month is this now? January... OK i know
were I am again. Any way. It was a close race on which seedlings were going
to flower first this year and the winner is....a tie.
"Kenilworth Ivy" - Linaria cymbalaria I planted some seeds only a few weeks
ago and already have some small flowers, The other plant is Corydalis
sempervirens and I am not sure this is going to be a long lived plant. I
have five plants that are 2 feet tall. Think I am going to put this species
in my woods, the foliage is real nice and the flowers have an interesting
aspect to them. They will self seed and mix in well with all the wild
geranium.
They both flowered for the first time on Tuesday.
