After Don's post, I looked at the site too. I'm very suspicious of this
company. In addition to the renderings of plants in place of photos, there
are no genus and species names. I looked at the category called "Plants"
(Flowers is another one) and read a couple descriptions. The one about the
climbing lily caught my eye as I have grown this plant and it does indeed
vine. And it's a pretty thing, although not hardy in my zone (6a). However,
the description is sheer marketing hype. You can hear the exclamation points!
And it is described as both new and rare, neither of which is true--maybe new
to them, and perhaps they have only a small supply.
This company sounds like an offshoot of Michigan Bulb. Go to the URL below
for a rating of this company supplied by over 100 customers. This Plants by
Mail site is always a good starting place when considering ordering from
someone you haven't dealt with before.
