Re: heat zones, delphinium, etc.


Right on the money Gene. There is an interesting discussion around this topic. 
Life choices, philosophies, luck, management, fulfilment et al. We just 
happen to live in paradise doing stuff most people in the world would die for 
(and many do). If we earn a good living that's fine, if not - that's fine too. We 
have a hell of a lot of fun and help a significant number to do so too. You 
must feel the same I guess.
To keep on the topic on perennials, our delphiniums are coming up for their 
second flowering this season. Now's the time when we make most of the  
experimental crosses and I wonder if anyone has ideas for traits they would 
like emphasized - anything - flower shape, size, dwarf, tall, stripes, bee 
colours, resistance to being trampled by elephants and eaten by elks?
