Hello Kris,
Day before yesterday it was Rhodea japonica. I have recently become
fascinated by this genus and obtained three for my garden. Watched them
stand up to the local winter and they are amazing... green as a spring gourd
right now with no signs of damage to the foliage. Managed to trade for some
fresh berries, so I was out there popping seeds from the berries and sowing
one at a time. Trays are now outside in first rain and then snow. Yesterday
I did not end up going back out... wind was raw and cut to the bone. Stayed
inside and wrote about plants instead of playing with seeds.
Just to illustrate how bad this winter has been... I have now written a
monthly article for my web site newsletter up to and including July. Also
three feature articles for magazines since January.
More snow forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning.... perhaps I
should have started a book.....
