I'd guess about 12 years old, Kris. They are easiest to train to a standard if pruning is started when they are quite young - first 3 years especially. Otherwise, they'll be more shrub-like. I have a few 2 year seedlings that need to be thinned out in spring. If you're interested, drop me a note in late April.I love your standard Don. How old is it? Kris P IL
