Chris, zinc are the best. I've used them for 20 years. I don't recognize your
description; I looked at their site and don't see any framed labels.

There were two companies that made the "Rose Style" zinc labels and
essentially the only difference was that one had rounded edges and the other
didn't. I use the rounded. For years I bought them direct until the
manufacturer [could be Paw Paw] hooked up with a distributor which is the
only way to get them. Now two companies have to make a profit on these
labels, so of course they cost more.

I had a good stock of them but, whereas I used to toss a label when no longer
needed, now I reuse them. Pry the P-touch tape off or, if impossible, just
tape over them.

I get them now from AM Leonard. They list at 68 to 72 cents each in bundles
of 25. But I order them when they have a sale, like 20% off my order which
brings them down to 54-57 cents. That's still higher than you're paying.

I do believe they are worth it. Oh! And if you use P-touch, you can save a
bundle buying on eBay and get the off-brand. Works the same.

Happy false spring (or second winter)!

I'm working on my label-making and was shocked to see how much the cost of
PawPaw Everlast labels have gone up. They're at least thirty cents each, or
fifty if you want stainless frames.

Does anyone here by commercial metal labels that they like? What do you
recommend?

Thanks,

Chris
