Re: Campsis ?? "Madam Galen"

Anyone grown this? I know it is not as
"vigorous" (polite term) as campsis radicans. I
am wondering two things:

How big it REALLY gets (they say 20' I think);
and its growth habit. I want to grown it on
some very strong (2 x 2 sunwood) trellising, but
with a climbing rose. Will it strangle the rose?
For instance, climatis twines, but unless you are
growing one of the giants (like montana), it
doesn't get so woody that it strangles (like
wisteria). Can I whack it back every year to
control it? How much will it grow in a year?
Can you give me an example of the true
color (realizing everyone perceives color
differently). Catalogues say "salmon red."
Would it be complimentary to a yellow rose
and wretched with a deep salmon rose?

Okay, so many more than two questions!

Thanks to anyone who can help. I've always
wanted to grow one for the hummers, but didn't
want to learn some awful lesson the hard way
with this plant!
